I was born with fine-textured hair and a high hairline (think Tom Petty). I was at a disadvantage even before male pattern baldness started at about 16.
It only really began at the crown and stopped as quickly as it began. I was able to comb it for a long time so that no one was aware.
During college, I started to get the occasional finger on my crown with the associated comment of "You've got a little bald spot ... going bald ... etc." I wore a hat quite a bit in college, and I'd spend hours combing and hairdrying my thinning hair before gong out.
At 25, I started cutting it short, not yet a buzz though.
Now, at 31, I buzz it. It looks OK, I suppose.
Honestly, I never had that great of hair, so trying to restore it is a waste of money and time. About the only thing that would help me is if doctors finally figure out in vivo hair cloning.
So what do I want? I want my scalp to look good. I want my skin to be perfect and tanned. In my opinion, being bald doesn't necessarily look bad; it's being bald and white like a light bulb that looks bad.
Can anyone recommend products to address this?
