Emu oil and how to use it

So I got some emu oil to fight the scalp inflammation. I have used the search for instructions on how to use it but haven't found any info. So emu oil users, do you do anything for the oil before applying, how do you apply it, how often and how long are you letting it sit on your head? And finally, do you think you have benefited at all from using it?
