There used to be a time when this sub-forum was very rich in interesting medical research discussions.

You must have seen the transformation of adult pluripotant cells into epilethal cell. The problem is that you can't growth iPS into any kind of cell, and culturing DP cells was a challenge.

If one day one can, as claimed in the article, convert adult cells to embryonic cells, then that's huge, since these cells can turn into anything...we will be finally able to grow weiners on our forheads.

But yes, this is a potential first step, although who knows if the process is applicable to human cells.
