Have just recently been on a strict gluten free diet now and have noticed a lot less hair fall out. I would normally run my hands through my hair and expect to see approx 3 strands, now I'm not seeing any at all. I've googled around and have noticed a link between gluten and the auto immune problem with alopecia. I don't have it, but believe there is some truth to the idea of gluten exacerbating male pattern hair baldness. Going gluten free I've noticed a huge improvement in mood, mental clarity and not feeling any stress at all. So perhaps it's a mediating factor, eliminating gluten, reducing perceived stress, halting hair loss? Not too sure, any body else have any ideas on the topic of gluten elimination diets?
