I'm not sure what to believe, but after only 2 and a half months on a regimen something just really jump-started my hair. My hair honestly hasn't looked so thick and healthy in over 3 years. It's looking sooo much better and I am just in shock!

The crown is where I had the most problems with lots of diffusion throughout and I can see the darkness of my hair creeping towards the middle definitley! Hair has gotten a good bit thicker all around the major baseball sized balding area around the crown.

I even made parts all around the front to inspect the line for new hair. In at least 1 part I could find around 15 or more tiny black hairs popping in. Yep, I made sure to pull tight to make sure it just wasn't a longer hair at an odd angle giving the impression of a new hair. Im not jumping to conclusions or delusional, but some really great things are going on so early in my treatment and it's just pretty overwhelming. I'm guessing I wouldn't have this success if I wasn't throwing alot of things at my hair all at once, which is key!

So a question I have is whether or not finasteride can actually make a follicle thicker while still in telogen? I have only been on MSM for just a few days, so I can't be sure if it's already kicked in it's benfits or not. Just seems odd that the hair all of a sudden changes in the blink of an eye.

It is impossible for it to be the MSM if you have only been taking it for a few days.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear Neil..

I also want to add that the sides above the ear are now a consistent dark color. That hair has never been that way and has always looked kind of unhealthy with lines of white and a certain diffusion. The very edge at the temples is also dark to the edge instead of a feathered thinning. I'm just f'n psyched!

apparently tech, im an excellent responder. im not trying to toot my horn here, but I have hidden my hairloss behind Toppik for the last decade trying to hide it from everyone I've come into contact with. I'm sharing my enthusiasm here with you guys to let you know that ALOT of regrowth can happen and it doesn't have to take a full year to get results.

I always thought that I'd get results, but when I thought 'results' I was expecting just maybe a bit more thickness and a few stray hairs growing in here and there or merely maintenance. Im telling you guys....this seemingly just happened overnight. From my hairline back to halfway to the middle of my scalp seems 5 times thicker than it was just 2 weeks ago and im not BS'ing. My hairline in the receded corners has a bunch of black hairs and mussy feathery hairs that are in place and once it thickens and takes good root, it's gonna look better than it has in over a decade when I was 20.

I don't know if this is from one certain product that im using or not, but you can bet Im keeping everything im taking now in my regime. I'm not taking anything out of the ordinary except maybe flax seed, which I take one TBSP a day. This has all happened without any minoxidil whatsoever. The great thing is that there are tons of little black hairs in between the longer hairs coming in. damn guys, this is pretty amazing and all but im still not out of the woods by any means as far as my crown is concerned (which is closing in niceley and thickening up btw). I am gonna post pictures maybe a month or two from now when there will be a much better cosmetic difference.

MSM is supposed to kick in really quick when you take over 3000 MG a day. It revitalizes keratin which is found in the fingernails and hair. It grows hair really fast and increases blood supply among a host of other things. It's a cheap drug you can buy from the supermarket.

I don't think MSM qualifies as a drug rather it is a supplement since it is a substance found in the body. It also helps with connective tissue and such and reportedly makes skin more vibrant. I take the powder form and it tasts purely awful due to the Sulfur in it. I have found that mixing it w/ grapefruit juice sorto of masks the taste. It also mixes well with chocolate protein shakes, but not the v anilla ones.

MSM stands for (Methylsulfonlmethane). Just ask for or look for MSM at the grocer.

Flax is a seed you can also by from the supermarket. The flax lignans is not only known to block DHT, but bodybuilders use it boost metabolism and burn fat. It also has a host of other benefits.
