So thinking of going on finasteride or dutasteride. I tried finasteride for a year about three years ago and it didn't do much for me. No sides but hair was still shedding. I ran it .5 mgs for 6 months out of the year though.

I now want to hop back on. Wanting to try dutasteride but my wife is preggo with a boy and is around 22 weeks. It seems the only harm is them touching it and semen. But if I wear a condom should that be fine. Or should I use finasteride while she's pregnant again and then switch later since the half life is so much shorter?

I got my wife pregnant twice while on finasteride. She is in medical field and was ok with it after she researched it. I never wore a condom.
I was on dustasteride and saw no difference so went back to finesteride.

I was on Dutasteride and quit whilst trying to conceive... I then stayed off it until after my child was born, and then same again with the next one.

Honestly when you're a parent and look at your child, you'll know 1000% that you'd never do anything that could even potentially harm them, no matter how low the risk.

Hair doesn't mean anything compared to their wellbeing, and then imagine your child isn't ok, they have a birth defect or health problem, and you never knew if it was because of you thinking about your hair during that time... It may not have been but also you'd never know.

Just not worth the risk, if rather live with a bald head than that every day of the week.
