Dutasteride or Finasteride with 5% Minoxidil

Hi guys,

I'm 47, I started losing hair probably 5-10 year ago, the loss is slow but noticeable. I'm not completely bold, but have very thin hair on top.

I finally decided to do something about it. Ordered 12 month supply of Kirkland 5% minoxidil. I have not started the treatment yet.

My question is: Should I order/use

0.5mg Dutasteride
1mg Finasteride
5mg Finasteride

with minoxidil at the same time. Which one of the three would you use?

I'm leaning towards 1mg Finasteride as I'd like to minimize the side effects.

If you had/have any experience/advise with the above regimen, please post your opinions/feedback.

I would suggest you first to chill out,i dont think that dutasteride for first med is a good idea...start the minoxidil twice a day on the affected areas from hairloss,and start finasteride 1mg/day.I would recommend you to add Nizoral 2% keto as it is a weak DHT inhibitor and after all,its good for your scalp,i use it every day good luck and keep us posted.

Bryan can come across abrasive at times, but I would wager it is simply due to his fastidious nature; it doesn't make him a bad guy. On the contrary, Bryan--whose been around these and other forums forver--is a good guy and has helped many over the years.

Say what you will about his like for Dr. Proctor's stuff, or his tongue-in-cheek remarks concerning grammar (which his original post almost assuredly was; I suggest a thicker skin, people), but to judge him as human being, going so far as to call him disgusting, is just wrong. I could easily say the same about you for using such a statement, and I've never so much as spoken to you a day in my life.

I will agree that Bryan pushes Proctor's stuff a lot. But that wasn't the issue. The issue was you calling someone a disgusting human being without ever meeting them.

Bryan could be a serial killer for all I know. What I do know is I've never met him, nor anyone else on this board, so I therefore wouldn't be insulting someone's character with such offensive words like disgusting.
