Dutasteride on sebum ?

So I read a lot that type 1 dht is present in sabbaceous glands.. Would this mean that in those with seb. Derm, sebum production would decrease?

I ask because I've been on finasteride for 1 year and 8.5 months now, but at one year I had scalp pain and shedding. I figured it was minoxidil irritation and had to quit, but that was 6.5 months ago.. I noticed that the hairs on shedding have almost like a sebum type build up covering the white bulb... No clue what it is, but my scalp gets a little sore in these areas as well.

Would dutasteride get rid of this problem? Maybe this is why one genotype responds infinitely better to dutasteride?

I have seborrheic dermatitis and I take dutasteride. When I started taking it, there was an improvement compared to finasteride but after 10 months on dutasteride now, I'm not so sure anymore.
It's no miracle drug for SD anyway, it may have gotten a little better with dutasteride, that's all.

Vlatch, did your hair get better on dutasteride? Also, did you get any type of scalp pain on finasteride that went away with dutasteride?
