dutasteride/finasteride Combo?

I've been on Propecia for a little over two months now and I just got a prescription for Avodart today. Should I drop the Propecia and just start taking .5 mg Avodart Dutasteride per day or should I take Propecia every day of the week, and take a .5 mg dutasteride on Mondays/Fridays? Price is not an issue as my mom works at a hospital and can get my meds at a discounted rate. I'm not really worried about side effects either.

My dermatologist. I just told him that I did some research on it and that I'd like to try it instead of Propecia. Then he gave me the prescription.

do not use up the propecia first. get on the Avodart now. time matters saving your hair. 25mg of finasteride is about as strong as 1 avodart pill. That said, if you want to take one less dutasteride per week than prescribed, and take 4 finasteride per day till gone, you would save money, but very little. a bottle of propecia would save you one pill, worth $3. I advise you sell or better yet give the propecia to a friend, so they can have a risk free experiment to see if they get side effects, without having to go through the embarasment of seeing a doctor right away. they will be more likely to get a prescription if they know they won't get side effects.

i'm going to keep filling my propecia prescriptions ( i get it for $10 a month) and i'm probably going to give them to my brother who is 25 (i'm 20) and no longer on my mom's insurance therefore can't get this huge discount that the hospital gives it's employees.

I'll just take the Avodart when the pharmacy gets their order in; which will probably be this monday. I'm not sure how much the Avodart is going to cost, but I'm guessing it will be around the same price.

hell, i got accutane for $5 a month when it would normally cost about $500 a month!

excellent! i'm glad you gave your brother propecia! i'm not sure if i'll keep my proscar for a slow shipment, or stock up on dutasteride for that reason and give my proscar to someone. I just need to find someone cares enough but is just affraid to plop down the money because he is affraid of side effects. i'm sure my brother also has extra he need to find a home for.

hey! my proscar bottle is still sealed shut. Do you think i can get a refund? I guess it can't hurt to ask, but it was special ordered and has my name on it.
