I'm 17 and I noticed my hair starting to fall out. I began to panic, since my father started going bald at that age.
I'm considering starting dutasteride and using minoxidil. What do y'all think?

I would recommend that, rather than just guessing, you first get tested for testosterone and estradiol, and after you get tested, start taking finasteride.

I had the same mentality at your age. You want the most powerful possible, because you’re scared.

Resist this, take a deep breath when you think about your hair loss, and look at this as the beginning of a long journey. Not just a chance to cure it. You won’t cure anything.

Start with 1mg of propicia. 5 mg Finasteride and any level of dutasteride increases your risk of sides dramatically. It isn’t worth the risk. And definitely not smart to start with that.

I started with 5 mg of finasteride, and it worked, but I got dry eyes, mild vision blur, gyno and a worse
Libido. 1 mg propicia didn’t do any of that.

Not saying it wasn’t worth it to take 5 mg finasteride, I just should’ve never started with that strong dose.
