Dutasteride 0.5mg Vs Finasteride 1mg

So I'm 19 year old and i went to dermatologist today wnd she told me I'm norwood 2.5 wnd she can see little thinning of hair on crown area, it's not like they have gone they have just started to thin, and she told ke it's very severe and i should hop on dutasteride 0.5mg and take it on alternative days with minoxidil to save it!!, so here im just asking you all which is better dutasteride or finasteride?

Better to start with finasteride, keeping duta as a stronger option down the road. You never know how you’ll tolerate 5aris.

Does not matter for duta, it will build up in your system starting with the first dose.

She said she doesn't recommend fina to anyone beacuse duta has two components and is better and less than 1% people suffer from sides

Just listen to your doctor, she knows what she's talking about. Dutasteride has about the same safety profile as finasteride, and any side effects are reversible. If your balding is aggressive like she says then finasteride won't save you.[/QUOTE

No. They just need more time to clear up due to duta's longer half-life.
