Dutasteride 0.1mg a day

Is it correct that 0.1mg of dutasteride is the about the same as 5mg of finasteride ?


I intend to take 1 dutasteride every 5 days

I know it wont be an even dose, but due to the caps being 0.5mg its the best I can do


Does anyone have an opinion on this ?

I take 0.5mg dutasteride twice per week. 2 pills a week.

Problem is that most will say it's not enough.

But...I just hope it's enough cause I'm too paranoid about side effects if dosage is increased.

2 times per week is probably as good as 1mg/day of finasteride. Problem is I doubt there are any studies showing one way or the other, so you will have to find out yourself.

well so far 0.1mg is workin better than 0.5mg in respect of sides-lack there of

I think my libido took a hit. But maybe that could be stress.

Also, I am shedding more it feels. But I increased from once a week to twice a week last month for dust.

So I'm assuming once a week wasn't enough and hoping twice a week will kick in soon.

No, because I cut back to 0.1mg from 0.5mg dutasteride

You can do .125mg of dutasteride a day if you order it from 4rx.com. They send out hard tablets, and not liquid ones. I got it from them and was a bit suspicious, so I had a chemist friend test it...and it turned out it was .5mg of dutasteride.

Because of dutasteride's half-life, you do not need to take it every day if you want a lesser, weekly amount. If you want a dose of .1 mg a week, simply take one capsule every five days.

And yes, 0.1 mg of dutasteride a day had nearly identicle haircounts to 5 mg of Proscar a day.
