Drug Induced male pattern baldness

Just curious to everyone'e opinion on drug induced male pattern baldness by such drugs as accutane, testosterone, anabolic steroids, etc, etc. Say you were predestined to start balding at the age of 40 in a pattern similar to your dad's and one took one of the above drugs at say 25. Do these drugs actually start the balding process if noticeable shedding or balding occurs shortly afterwards or is it that you were balding already but in the early stages and didn't notice it until the shed from one of these drugs kicked in. Just curious to whether or not these drugs actually have the power to start to balding process much earlier than you were pre-programmed to or not and if its easier to maintain or regrow in this case.??

Good question!

But In my opinion no one of the drugs you have mentioned cause common baldness, All of them cause hair loss in a diffuse pattern.

An example: quimiotheraphy cause hair loss of all hairs, not in a definited pattern, the same with acutane, anabolic steroids, etc.

Anabolic steroids cause male pattern baldness and they may trigger it before it is suppose to happen.

I am sure that testosterone don't produce hair loss in a patterned way, if any case in a diffuse model.

I answered some times to Bryan but he don't like my opinion. But thank you for your suggestion.

re:

Attempting to predict the pattern of loss resulting from increased testosterone is a useless endeavor IMO. The loss pattern would be dependent on the number of follicles that are sensitive to DHT and the degree to which they are sensitive at that time. Essentially the increased testosterone is increasing the rate of baldness and accelerating the individual's normal hairloss pattern and rate. It basically throws the individual into the future. It is certainly possible that steroids can alter the pattern of loss but no one can conclude anything without a proper double blind study and that study would never happen because of the risk and cost involved.
In the end, I don't even understand why someone would be interested in this debating this subject. The reality is that increased testosterone will increase hairloss. If you value your hair then do not use steroids.
Are you attempting to rationalize steroid use by concluding that they will only add a little diffuse thinning and do nothing to the hairline?
Again:
more T = more DHT = more hairloss........bidy bidy bidy, that's all folks.

Armando, are you implying that diffused thinning is different from temple recession?

So...according to YOU,. if male pattern baldness is caused by sebum, diffused thinning (as though its any different from male pattern baldness) is cause by what?
