Dropped minoxidil, taking 0.5 propecia

Hi I hope someone can give me some advice. I was around 3V on the norwood scale when I started taking minoxidil. After around 6 months, I lost more hair and was upgraded to NS 4. So I added 0.5 propecia.
Now after 1 year, I've decided to drop minoxidil because it doesn't seem to work and I hate the wet and sticky feeling on my head after each application. Will hair lost caused by minoxidil grow back? And has anyone has any success with 0.5 propecia?

0.5 propecia is about 80% as effective as 1.0, so you're doing good.

About the minoxidil, have you tried the foam version? I hear that it's much easier to apply, quicker to dry and has a much higher success rate.
