sorry why does everyone say this stuff is junk?

I am well aware it does nothing for regrowth or inhibiting DHT but then it does not say it does those things nor is it designed to do those things.

On the bottle it says "formulated to effectively and gently clean thinning hair...it does not impeded the absorption of Regaine or damage new hair growth".

I was planning to use it inbetween the times I am using nizoral/T-Gel i.e. just as a general shampoo which will not damage my hair.

Or is there some other reason people think this is crap?

What shampoos would people advise to use on the days when not using nizoral?

It is overpriced.

It is a lousy shampoo.

It does nothing for hair loss.

Shall we go on??

Try folligen shampoo. Very very nice stuff cosmetically speaking.

It is overpriced <--- well it is not pricey over in the UK, same price as any standard cosmetic shampoo, certainly nowhere near the price of the folligen shampoo you suggest

It is a lousy shampoo <---- Why is it lousy? It seems to contain the same ingredients as normal shampoos, and says it cleans hair gently not damaging new hair. Since it is made by the makers of rogaine I am sure they are not lying...

It does nothing for hairloss <---- I know it doesn't, as I said in the post I made above the shampoo is not designed to do anything for hairloss, but it DOES say it won't harm your hair and is gentle.

I was just looking for a shampoo to use in between nizoral/T-Gel which will clean my hair gently without damaging what hair I have left or any new growth I get, and according to the bottle this is what the shampoo does. What with (planning) using folligen four times a week, plus nizoral twice a week and mayb minoxidil if I can afford it I thought that it would be good using just a gentle shampoo on the off days to keep my hair clean rather than buying yet another hairloss shampoo. I dunno, I just like the idea of using something which aint gona do anything to my scalp, something to make me feel clean :)

Unless you can suggest some shampoo to use inbetween which ain't gona damage my hair everyday. I dunno, I just cant see using all this stuff everyday being all that kind on my hair, I'm sure it would like a rest inbetween :)

I was thinking maybe buying some J&J baby shampoo to use on the off days, what do you think? I'd be happy to hear of any hair growth shampoos which would be gentle enough to use everyday when not using the nizoral...though have to say due to my life as a student not sure I can afford any expensive stuff :)

There are other 'gentile' shampoos you could use at half the price of Progaine. J&J is a good suggestion.

It's just an attempt by the makers of Rogaine to sqeeze a few more profits out of the Rogaine name. I've used it and it's nothing special. Try using Pantene Clear formula. It's less expensive, comes in a MUCH larger bottle, and will do what you're asking for....

Now why the hell would I want to argue with you on the use of Progaine?Buy it and use it. If you like it fine. You asked, we provided our input, you rejected it.

Such is life!
