drop or rub in minoxidil?

I've been using minoxidil for 2 months. I am severly thinning on the entire top of my head and hairline. Is it better to rub in the minoxidil or drop in? I've been just dropping it in because its cleaner then smearing it all over my hair as well. However, by using drops i might miss certain spots.

I am getting growth on my hairline, but I want some growth on vertex and crown as well, should I rub it in instead? Thanks for any advice!

Just get it onto your scalp as best you can, whilst getting as little as possible on your hair, fingers, shirt.

Everyones hair is different so there is no single rule that applies to both a NW4 scalp shaved to the skin and someone with long hair and a little temple recession, I urge you to use common sense.

Minoxidil will diffuse somewhat in the skins layers after application so don't worry too much about hitting every square millimetre.
