DR Reddys Generic Finasteride. Do not go near this product.
My local pharmacy stocks a different generic brand of Finasteride every few months and since I began treating hairloss (almost 23 months ago) I have experienced not one, not two, but THREE bouts of intense shedding where all progress has been lost in a short space of time. For the record I am a genuine hair loss sufferer (currently NW2/3vertex) - not one of the influx of NW1's with a mm of hair recession posting threads asking "am i going bald" that have been bombarding this forum recently!
I finally realised the other month that EVERY TIME this shed has come on it has corresponded with a me being sold Dr Reddys Generic Finasteride.
I dont care what anybody says, regardless of what is "theoretically true" on paper... I am certain that different brands of generic Finasteride will have different effects on different people. I understand the API is the same but you have to consider binding/releasing agents and other chemicals that may differ.
