Dr Lee's "nizoral" can be left overnight

Yes, Dr Lee's regrowth shampoo can be left to dry overnight in the scalp. It says that in the directions use. It could be the topical Ketoconazole that we are looking for? It will be left 8 hours without other product interactions, easy to apply (I will be using it as if it was spironolactone cream, but if it gets on my hair I don't mind, is designed for that). Cheap, 2 - 3 nights a week, and wash out next day. It could be good for some people who (like me) hate the way our hair looks after washing it with Nizoral.

Same applies for Nano conditioner leave-in. It might well be the most cost - effective of Proctor's products. And if you buy it with Nano shampoo, it works for 20$ 120ml. I think Bryan posted about Nano cond. overnight as a good idea, and Old baldy used it as base for his homemade concontions.

Anyway, I found both ideas brilliant, specially the first one (because I saw it first :lol: )

Aveda pure abundance -thanks Cassin- to look nice. And all the medical stuff, just to sleep with it.

NANO conditioner a leave-in? That is good news. Ive never checked into his conditioning product before. If I could do finas/nizoral/NANO conditioner........................that would be a sweet, no-topical regimine.

I'd like to piddle around and make my own little topical out of .....well, just cheap stuff like apple juice/peppermint and spearmint tea/onion juice..........all whipped up at home. Maybe add green tea. Ive honestly never thought of a hairloss product through a leave-in conditioner, but man that sure sounds like a great way to have a product get absorbed extremely well (no fear of washing much of it out)................good idea!!!


The thing about the NANO shampoo...........it IS hard to push that around the scalp without using so much of it. It really doesn't "suds" all that well. I feel like I run through a bottle in about 5 weeks. Sprio (I make my own cream) is effective, but it sure doesnt "spread" all that well. I'd love for some alchohol spironolactone-spray to be effective, but since I dont know how effective it would be (or how it might smell), Im afraid to mix spironolactone with an alcohol/water carrier.

I'd love to piddle around and "come up" with an effective topical I could make myself......

Nano conditioner has Nano (of course), but not SOD as in the shampoo. 120 ml 30$, but you can get a 10$ discount if you buy the shampoo at the same time..

The main ingredient is Aloe Vera, you could use it as a cream base for your spironolactone cream. It has the same amount of Nano as the shampoo, and if we believe Dr Proctor (I do), it works like minoxidil. But the cream slow release could help further than liquids. And is good for the hair as well!!

5 weeks a bottle of Nano shampoo?? You should prewash your hair with any cheapo (i do sometimes with shower gel), quick, just to remove all dirt-grease. And then with a tiiiiny bit of Nano you will cover all the top of your scalp, it lathers easy then. Just like a "scalp treatment", without wasting it to clean. I -and several other posters- do like that. I started my bottle 1st of January,using it religiously 4 times a week. And I have more than 1/3 of the bottle left.

Sorry if the last paragraph sounds patronizing, but if you are using a bottle in a bit more than a month, I guess you are not doing that prewash trick. Honestly, when you apply Nano that way, it "behaves" in your hair as if it was a different product, user friendly then.

So if you're using Lee's Regrowth shampoo as an overnight topical - do you still shampoo w/ it 2 - 3 x per week; or do you do the overnight topical instead of shampooing?

there are ketoconazoale lotions generally available. at least here in aus you can buy them at pharmacies. no prescription needed.

I am not using it yet. I was looking for a Nizoral replacement, and then I found Dr Lee Regrowth. In the directions it says that can be left overnight. Not experience at all. But I might buy it. I don't like the way Nizoral leaves my hair. And I don't want to use hair conditioner afterwards. Bryan posted somewhere that he would not use any other stuff to wash after Nizoral. Before, yes, but not after.

But I think that Ketoconazole should be in everyones regimine...is the big one for me (Personal thought, don't ask me for any evidence please). Then, using it overnight will do the job even better (all night undisturbed), and I can wash my hair with whatever I like. If that way is too strong, I will just wash my hair 3 extra nights a week, rinsing it.

Another reason to do that: I apply a topical after my morning shower. And I believe that even when we rinse Nizoral, it should be left a few hours on its own, without mixing any topicals Again, this is a personal thought with not medical evidence at all. Nizoral at night looks is the way to go for me.

It is probably a good idea. But I don't know about costs. Dr Lee's shampoo costs 14 $ 120ml, or something like that. You can apply it the rough way, better than spironolactone cream, just damping your scalp and then shampooing, but not rinsing. All scalp easy covered. And again, is good for your hair, is a shampoo at the end of the day.

Anyway, if your hair look fine with Nizoral shampoo, and you are using it 2 or 3 times per week, you are getting all the goods already, don't you?

But... some coditioner might penetrate. And you do an extra rinse. The results of the trials are really good. And they don't mention any conditioner at all.

You are probably right and it is not a problem at all to use conditioner. But just for 2 days a week...I won't use it.
