Dr. Lee expressed his concern to me about long term usage of finasteride and the use of it by younger male adults.

That was me.

He told me that he felt finasteride was a drug safer for older men, and even though it has been used for years it hasn't been studied long term in younger men (in their 20s).

Secondly he was concerned about the studies released that showed a heavy dosage of finasteride could cause damage to penile tissue in lab rats.

Neither of these comments scared me at and I am still using finasteride.

Keep in mind that Dr. Lee also sells Topicals and is a business man. Why would anyone want to buy spironolactone when one can use Propecia for much better results and much more convenience, the same goes for his Xandrox products.

I use both for the one two punch, but if forced to choose between the two Propecia would win hands down.

There may me some merit to Lee's observations but I would trust the FDA long before I would trust someone with questionable motives. Further Lee's concerns have never been proven.

He is a respected doctor.

What he said did concern me.

And also folks, just because the FDA approves it, doesn't mean it's safe.

Ha Hah, keep thinking that way and youll be bald in no time!!! We will call you bald Nick. Respected Doctor, did you see his medical degrees? Most of us here don't even know if he is a real Doctor but we suspect it.

Put your money where your mouth is and show me were he is listed in Medical Directories? Dr. Lewenberg is a real doctor to, as well as Quincy M.D and Markus Wellby M.D. and Doctor Bricker from the Love Boat and don't forget Dr. Jekyll.

Although I love his products and think he is legit in the medical field, too many people come on this site and act as if he is a god.

Very well respected Doctor? How would you know are you involved in the medical community? His main focus is to add acne treatments to Minoxidil, a chemist could do the same.

You shoud smarten up and get your facts strait before you make such statements.

I was reading an interesting article how a doctor claimed that the carbination in soda when poured on the head 4 times per day is a great way to clean clogged up hair follicles.. kinda like when you pour it on a battery terminal of your car to clean it off.. It was written by..cant think of his name now. Oh yeah, Dr. Pepper.

I only know of Dr. Lee over the internet and from this site. For the record mind you this site is supposedly very, very pro Dr. Lee according to the other hairloss sites. You guys just proved that by getting extremely deffensive on Lee's behalf.

I live in Boston why the hell would I travel to California to see a guy who formulates mediocre hair loss products? Do you actually think spending that kind of money to visit him is actually going to bring a better answer than hair doctors and Derm's in my area? No.... There are only two somewhat effective treatments for male pattern baldness minoxidil and Propecia. I like his products and use them but they are by no means cures, he just improved on a good thing- you don't need medical school to do that.

What Medical School did Lee go to? You did see his degree's right? I have a very comprehensive medical directory in front of me at this very moment.
