Don't you hate having to triage your hair?

I got practically smooth scalp covered in grafts, areas of diffuse thinning, and other areas that are very thick now but I want to make sure stay that way. (see my avator)

I'm trying to decide if I should spend extra money and put eucapil and Prox-N on my hairline that has been smooth bald for 5 years, or if I should save money by concentrating these on the diffuse areas. The decision will be even bigger if I buy RU58841, which is supposed to be very powerful and expensive.

At least finasteride gets everything, and minoxidil and folligen and nizoral are cheap enough to put on the hair line and everywhere else.

It is one of those things were I should do it now in full force or write it off forever. Grafts are not very thick. They are addequate but they are not locks, and they are expensive. I wonder if it would be a waste to buy
Proxiphen and just use it on my smooth bald hair line area to make it last longer. Some of it went bald 2 years ago, and there is some tiny fuzz here and there.

If money were no object, or at least would not detract from graft money if topicals fail, then I'm sure we would all slather the best products over our whole head, thin or not.

Anybody else have this same triage dilema?

I definately am. but you shouldn't be concerned about shiny areas. 1 drop/dab of anything should cover shiny areas easily, as there's no hair to get through.

Im considering dr p's "lite version" of Prox-N from http://www.leg.org, which is about half the price just so i can apply it to my whole scalp ("a better deal for the money" - Dr P). I guess that means its not half the strength... or maybe im probing to far... :p

If you used proxiphen on your smooth bald area, I doubt you'd ever get through one vial, each vial being a mere 25ml, as it spreads so well and thinly. Things only get complicated on the areas with greater coverage. For me its even worse, as im not using finasteride, and i have curly hair at around 3-4 inches.

Im hoping eucapil or RU spreads well :)

wow, you do have more topical problems than I do. my hair is straight and 1/2 inch long. I'd agree about the proxiphen, but my smooth areas are covered in grafted hair, which is not as dense as i want. if I use prox-N, RU, and minoxidil, am i missing that much that proxiphen has? I know it has a few other chemicals, but are they the strongest or just a little extra?
