ok..so I have long hair I guess for a guy my age...and overall I have a reasonably good coverage but it is starting to thin .... I have always told myself that if it gets too thin I will cut super short ..as long hair and balding on top is not for me...I have noted the change over the last few years but instead of accepting it I have had a bit of a melt down I’m just not ready to loose my hair yet ...!
I am on Finasteride and spyrolactin 100....for last 5 months...kind of difficult to tell what effects it has had....so I visited a hair clinic.
The guy spend a good time explains things and ran a magnification device over my hair...he tells me I still have 90%+ of my folicals but they are becoming fine .....one strand as opposed to three or four..?...he has told me that I can re -invigorate them but using a hair solution they sell and by this lighting system that looks like a heated lamp (he tells me it is cold on the head)...
and has asked for the AU$4000 for a years treatment.......
If it will work or at least have a fighting chance I will pay it ....but is it a genuine procedure with realistic chances of doing something other than emptying my wallet any and all advice appreciated however blunt..

It'll be LLLT which is basically useless. The hair solution will probably be mega expensive minoxidil which you can get online a fraction of the price. Those hair clinics are ripoffs.

I would carry on with meds and consider adding minoxidil. Take photod and evaluate your results after a year.

Is regain the same as that minoxidil...I have been using that (should have added it to my list) but it is not easy product to use for me as it makes my fine hair lank and flat on top I have only used the drops not the foam not sure if it’s the way I am applying...!

Don’t get the lamp sh*t. If it actually worked you would hear people talk about it. The big 3 are your best bet.

Save that 4K and put it towards a future hair transplant. That’s what I’m doing.

Yep even without any great knowledge...I smelt a rat..!!
Just so easy to buy in especially when they tell you that you have your follicles still active just need to jump start them....
So will the existing regime I am on help regenerate or is it preventing further loss only....? Is there anything to get more out of an active follicle or was that just bull to get me hooked

minoxidil and dermastamp are pretty much it for regrowth until the next thing. There was some dude that got good results in the Success Stories section with some potion he made and maybe there's something good in there
