Does using non-organic shampoo worsen hair loss at all?

Sorry if it's been asked before, I did a search and couldn't find it. I currently use American Crew daily shampoo for normal to oily hair and scalp. Is this harmful in any way to my hair, or can organic shampoo make any difference? Thanks!

I don't think so. Organic shampoo in general is more gentle and better if you have some kind of scalp conditions but shampoo itself isn't going to cause your hair to fall more or less.

I wouldn't use it but if it doesn't do you any harm, go for it

I try to avoid anything that has SLS in them and this American Crew shampoo has it in it too. It does not really matter what you use anyway as long as it does a good job of what it is supposed to do. I use organic shampoos from a healthfood store. Any brand. They are on the cheaper side too price wise. cheers

What do the sulfates do that is so damaging? Do they worsen hairloss?

no it has nothing to do with hair loss at all. it can be harsh on your skin/scalp. As I said, if it does a good job of cleaning your hair, go for it.
