it is not that bad ; i am a perfectionist , my Doctor tol me i got nothing , but there is definitely some puffines that i didnt have prviously . I really want to try duta because my temple are going fast , but damn gyno scared me

furthermore minoxidil si a pure bullshit, the only thing that does is facial hair and dark circle , and a shed of the vell hair which was maintained by propecia , wish i never touched this stuff
Agree on the minoxidil, strongly advice people to steer clear of it, Those who say it works should stop fina/duta and come back after a year on minoxidil alone but noone dare do it. Its hokum.

I'm a transgendered woman who has been on the strongest of anti androgens, DHT blockers and estradiol for 9 years. I have very low to female range Testosterone, and practically nothing now with DHT and my junk still works perfectly fine.
That could hint that androgen receptors are more important than testosterone levels. Only a little T is needed for sexual functions and massive amounts needed for muscle growth.

I went straight from finasteride to dutasteride. I used dutasteride for 2 months before sides started after 3 months I couldnt take it anymore. I took my last pill in the beggining of august still experiences sides though they have gotten better.
Ok so my fina-duta overlap theory dont apply to your case it would seem. Its bad news for me that your sides came so late on duta, my positive experience with duta so far is too good to be true maybe.

How long have you been on dutasteride?

A week. took double dose yesterday (morning and night) and c*m 2 times last nite and 4 times this morning, slight testicle discomfort after that. So didnt yet take my usual daily dose this morning, will do now. Theres definitely a sexual side effect but i cant say its bad, no. Also had vague discomfort in the balls on day 1 but only a little while. Was worse on fina.

Seriously? Even with Cyproterone Acetate?

Yep, 4 years of Cyproterone Acetate and still works.
Lacey, sems like you know a whole bunch of hormones, and maybe you know something the other way a round also, ie if i decided to take testosterone undecanoate and then in a higher dose than recommended, what should i take in addition to avoid gyno, something to inhibit conversion of testosterone to estradiol? I hear its the enzyme aromatase that has to be blocked but i want to know of a REAL blocker, not some wussy medicine or natural therapy as i dont respond well to placebo cures and snake oil remedies.

I can't answer that Horunger sorry.
Thanks. i guess its in some way nearly the opposite, however my experience is that people who know one thing tend to have wider knowledge of the topic. I found some info online now but its hard to put it all together into a solid piece of info, i need something like "ask an expert now" but the fukk if i am paying an indian medical student for a pile of generic bs, need real info from real people, that is after all why we join forums in the first place.

It seems like this forum is the place for pioneers blazing the trail in the area of endocrine system hacking for hair growth... experimenting on ourselves with trial and error. Establishment medicine seems to not want to really touch this area with a ten foot pole since it's considered "not medically necessary" and the paybacks aren't worth their effort or something to that effect.

In the world of transgender women hacking our systems to feminize our bodies, we have a lot of pioneers who blazed the trail for us, and now we are so fortunate to have knowledgeable mentors like Lacey (I hope I can consider you a mentor?) with real life experience to offer advice to us newbies. Someday the world of cisgendered men will accumulate more useable knowledge too, as long as we all work together at it and keep contributing the knowledge we gather back to the community of hairloss warriors. Maybe someday there will be an effective regimen that will give you all bodies and hair like Fabio had back in his prime.

Meanwhile, your best bet on finding data on aromatase inhibitors might be from the steroid-using bodybuilders websites like this one: http://www.postcycletherapy.net/guide-to-aromatase-inhibitors/

Yeah i can check there but still want to find some with real life experience. By the way, my plans to "abuse" testosterone is not so related to hairloss, i plan to take more than recommended dose (which increase the likeliness of side effects like gyno), more excersize related and to reduce body fat without losing weight, in fact it can damage hairgrowth it but since i am on Duta now i think i am in the clear on that one.

I have a long time friend who is a bodybuilder and reads everything he can find about hormones and steroids and everything related to lifting but he have no first hand experience with it so his knowledge is too theoretical to be my primary source of info.
