Does the type of hair cut you get affect your hair loss?

A few days ago i got myself a haircut, and i asked the barber if he could thin my hair out with razors, yet i've been told in the past that it's not always good to do this because it's supposed to ruin you hair, yet i rarely get it done, plus it gives my hair the shape i'm after. Well this time i think it also made my hair loss pattern much more obvious and worrying. So do any of you think, getting your hair thinned out with razors, adds to your hair loss?

Having said that though, i won't be getting the same style again, i'll just get him to thin it out, if i have to, with scisors.

I see then. Thanks.
Well i don't think i'll be getting it 'thinned out with a razor' next time if it makes it this noticeable for myself.

You need to have your hair 'thinned out' and you're on a hairloss site?

Well it gives me the short style i want because my hair can get very thick (well as of lately that's been dieing down) and hard to style how i want, yet when it's thinned out with a razor, it suits me better plus when it grows i still get the desired style. But i won't be doing this anymore.
