Does the big 3 work just as well on buzzed heads?

I know the answer is probably yes, but I'm clutching at straws here.

I've slowly been losing my hair since I was 20. It got to 29/30 before I started to doing anything, at which point my temples had gone and I was slowly starting to diffuse throughout the whole top.

I've buzzed my hair on a #1 for the past 5 years or so, and a #3 before that since I was a kid.

So, I've been on finasteride and nizoral for 14 months. After 10 months nothing was changing so I added minoxidil. Obviously I've been on minoxidil for 4 months.

Nothing seems to be changing, in fact I seem to be below my base line of 14 months ago.

Most people who have success have longer hair. Do you think this has any significance on their success?

If anything it's going to be more efficient on a buzzed head, at least for the minoxidil portion. With less hair you'll be getting a higher % of what you apply onto your scalp instead of onto your hairs.

I'm just trying to figure out why my hair loss seems to be accelerating since starting on the meds instead of slowing / reversing.

I don't appear to have hugely sensitive hair to DHT if I've made it to 31. I just assumed things would start to improve by now, not get worse...

I agree, a buzz cut would be the ideal hair cut for any topical to work the best. Longer hair may stop some of the minoxidil from reaching the scalp and also cause you to use more.
