Does spironolactone have effect on non treated areas?

What I´m trying to ask is this. If I use 5% spironolactone on my temples, will it help take away som DHT from neighbouring areas?

Almost all the topical spironolactone studies (which were mainly in animals, of course) have shown a highly "local" effect, so I wouldn't expect much of a beneficial effect where it's not actually applied.
