There are many. I neither had a (noticeable) shedding nor noticeable regrowth.
RULE #1 : Don't worry about shedding ! :D

No, I believe the majority of minoxidil users do not experience shedding, and of those who do, the shed tends not to have any obvious cosmetic effects.

That is not to say a few unlucky souls do not experience a noticeable shed.

The vast majority who do not shed (like me) do post on the subject.

What everyone is saying is the truth. I've had a couple of sheds myself, and the first one is terrifying, it's like all the good that's been done is being undone.

Don't panic though; it soon stops and those hairs grow back thicker and stronger very quickly.

Remember these two things :-

1: Everyone sheds hair, all people, receding or not, it's natural, it happens to everyone. Even "normal" people shed up to a hundred hairs a day.

2: It seems worse because like the rest of us here, we are checking out our hair every time we pass a mirror!

Relax :)

When I first started finasteride I didn't shed at all in the 4 months I was using it. The second time I started finasteride I shen badly at about month 3 and I'm keeping my fingers crossed (now approaching month 4) that, as GeminiX says, it grows back thicker.
