It certainly has a chance of helping! I don't know which area its most effective in and opinion seems to be varied, but propecia should help with hairloss all over your head.

Propecia definetly helps for Frontal Hair Loss, it is just the area that is most sensitive to DHT and hence very hard to treat. Keep in mind that everyone reacts different to it and 17% of all people see no stopping of their hairloss.

Good Luck mate!

thanks guys ...

i was just talking with my girl about my concerns, making me feel odd, lack of confidence, etc ...

she is just as perplexed as i am since there isnt a lot of male pattern baldness in my fam ... uncles and grandfathers are all good. dad has some thinning, but hes upper 50's and still parties too much IMO (haha), but at his age, i would expect thinning on top.... im 29 and very confused.

my crown has apparently been thinning longer than i have known - ive never had any reason to think i would go bald.

now it seems that my temples and more concerning the front of my hairline is losing ground on a daily basis.

im just starting mo 5 of propecia. 1mg/day. im thinking about biting thebullet and talking to a hair specialist/surgeon just to get a specialist's opinion. my dermatologist just said take propecia, see how it works, and didnt act that concerned about it. im concerned. im really concerned. its my hair.

Well, it seems that many derms don´t take hair loss and the influence it can have on a man´s confidence very serious. I think if you are really starting to lose ground on the hairline then you should think about adding minoxidil. If you start at a later point you may deeply regret it since regrowth is so hard to achieve.

Folks seem to reccomend minoxidil stuff for thinning crowns, that's what I am trying in addition to my several years worth of Propecia.

So does minoxidil even work on the front hairline and temples?

Also, Im now calmer than i was during the orignal post, and maybe the hairline is actually getting better ... as in not regressing as i thought, but maybe growing back and I thought the thin areas were loss (instead on newly gained hair) ... i still dont know. will post pics later

Yes, minoxidil works on the front hairline and temples. minoxidil and finasteride combined provide very good results for most users.

Yes, minoxidil can work on the front hairline, but before the foam came out, the liquid made application to the hairline and temples more difficult and the crusty residue would be completely visible given the location. The foam however is oustanding in comparison (the 'scent' aside). The residue is very very minor and washes away much easier. PLUS it dries super quick, where as the liquid would be a greasey mess for a good long while. My recommendation is use the foam for the hairline, and you can keep using the liquid for the crown if you like, and take finasteride and nizoral. Do the big three.

It's definitely worked for me on top of the fringe, however I'm not sure whether it's worked completely on the sides of temples just above my ears, pics aren't conclusive so could just be in my head. Other than that it's been pretty good so far.

I am doing very well still have my sex drive can still c*m once a day and I have been on it since Feb 1st my hair has been coming back in my temples as well as my hairline a little slower on the one side that started to recede back in 2017 but am starting to see it show signs of improvement there is folder in my google drive before and after photos I uploaded photos May 14th 2018 Here's a link to folder on google drive https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1tvilo7GW5L0wJHMbbo-7Gt38xCRt2Ft7

Am thinking of starting Rogaine Foam next month dermatologist said I would get better results with that in combination with the Finasteride 1mg will say have noticed a difference almost in a couple of weeks could feel stubble coming in the top of my head and around where I part it in the middle where it was previously thinning on one side has filled in and can feel shorter hairs there and it keeps improving as time goes on so glad I got on Finasteride!
