The only joke is you being gullible enouth to beleive the 2% side effect rate

Evidence, mate. You've produced absolutely no evidence to show that any of the Propecia, Proscar or Avodart trials has been deliberately rigged to give the right answer for the sponsors. This is a serious accusation, so you should be able to back it up with some evidence.

Shooting your mouth off with vague accusations is just bar-room bollocks, this is supposed to be "the most Popular, Educational, and Scientifically Centered interactive hair loss support community anywhere on the Web" (check the top of the page).

even though it wasn't reported as one of the sides when the pill was studied but a lot of his patients has reported desame problem.

It was reported in the GSK phase II hair loss trials, which pitted finasteride 5mg/day against various doses of dutasteride and a placebo. 3 of 70 people (4.3%) taking finasteride reported malaise and fatigue compared to 3 of 64 people (4.7%) on placebo, 1 of 68 people (1.5%) taking dutasteride 0.5mg/day and 7 of 71 (9.9%) on dutasteride 2.5mg/day. So, in this study at least, there was no real difference between finasteride and placebo.

your right...You see man theres some propecia fan boys here like pondle who will never admit propecia has some major side effects not listed, Because they are in denial about the drug and dont want to think bad thoughts because they are worried what its doing to there health

Rambo, I'm pretty confident in my decision to use Propecia (and Avodart). We know the pseudohermaphrodites, who were the 'model' for finasteride, appear to suffer no clinical abnormalities from their lack of 5AR2 or DHT - apart from the obvious genital development issues that occured in early life. Indeed, the pseudohermaphrodites not only don't go bald, but they don't get BPH or prostate cancer. :D Apart from these 'guys', women have many times less 5AR and DHT than men, and they seem to suffer no major medical 'penalty' as a result of this.

theres also i higher risk of osteoperosis for men who use finasteride long term..You forgot to mention that pondle

I thought low estrogen levels were the key risk factor for osteoporosis. On finasteride, estrogen is elevated somewhat (but still within the physiologic range). This study seems to suggest that finasteride doesn't present a problem for bone mineral density.

Well ive spoken to a specialist doctor and hes told me long term use of propecia may increase the risk of osteoperosis in men, I think id trust him over some forum poster anyday

By all means trust a doctor over some guy on a forum (i.e. me) but that study is in a reputable peer-reviewed scientific journal, I didn't make it up myself! LOL

Be wary of some American hair loss "specialists" (naming no names) who often try to put you off Propecia, sometimes because they are trying to flog you their own unproven concoctions, or a hair transplant (sigh).

Here in the UK the problem is that GPs usually don't have a clue about male pattern baldness and have never heard of any of the treatments, except (maybe) Regaine. Guys like Bryan, Michael Barry and docj would really put those 'professionals' to shame...

I'm not sure if this a temporary effect but I'm on the fourth week on finasteride I have been oversleeping and still feeling tired. Normally I would sleep 8 hours a day and feel energetic the next day. Lately I still feel tired and sleepy even though I slept 8 hours a day. I miss 4 days again already on my daily workout and I just hope this a temporary effect. I went to see my dermatologist recently and advice me its normal to feel like that because my body is adjusting to the medication and it will go away.

I don't get tiredness with finasteride. However, I am now getting very bad tiredness if I also take an Antihistamine for hay fever. I didn't get this at all before I started on Propecia. finasteride on its own doesn't make me tired at all though. Very odd.

Propecia help was around back in 2007? Anyone know when that site actually started? I think everyone has tired days on finasteride or off of it. If you are always tired on finasteride quit and notice a difference then there you go. Only times I felt tired on finasteride was when I didn't get enough sleep and smoked cigarettes. Finasteride might encourage more sleep they your body needs
which in turn helps muscle recovery brain recovery and hair loss recovery. Or finasteride increases ones recovery time. Who knows. No one does.
