My hair loss is pretty minor, virtually not existent on the crown but my temples are quite thin. I've seen some people saying that Minoxidil has improved their hairline so I've tried it but haven't really noticed any positive outcome in 3 months of use. I figured that like most other topical medication you apply it to the area you want it to work in. So for the past 3 months, I've applied it exclusively to my temples where the hair loss visibly occurs. I honestly doubt it but is there some reason I should be applying it to my scalp instead? If Minoxidil really doesn't work on the temples could you recommend some other treatment that would help? My hair loss isn't bad enough for me to use finasteride despite the known side effects.
