Does Minoxidil Become Less Effective With Time?

I don't mean that hair loss progresses since minoxidil can't stop the cause of male pattern baldness, I mean does your body build a tolerance to minoxidil like other drugs to the point where it stops having an effect on your follicles? I remember a poster here saying that after one year your body stops responding to minoxidil.

pretty much it does, at 20 years old i used it and revived some frontal hairs, was effective til about 2 years ago when i was 25, i maintained it but i still thinned slowly, now that im 27 has almost no effect

If you stop the process of balding then no. However if you're not doing anything against the miniaturization then after a while you will be taking Minoxidil just to have the same shitty head of hair you had before you even started it, and trust me, that isn't fun.
