Here's what Ketoconazole helps with at treating Androgenetic Alopecia related problems:

+Lowers Androgenetic Alopecia Inflammation
+Helps to Heal damaged Scalp Skin
+Stimulates Hair Growth
+Has an Inhibiting Effect on Androgen Receptors
+Lowers the Level of Arachidonic Acid
+Shrinks over-stimulated Sebaceous Glands

Ketoconazole has healthy properties at fighting Androgenetic Alopecia, and it's helped me at treating my male pattern baldness. Just keep in mind though that it's far too weak to halt Androgenetic Alopecia.

I use nothing but finasteride and my hair is getting better and better, wig like thickness and shine. Small soft regrowth so far - perhaps an early sign.

Binned my Nizoral as don't have a typical irritated scalp for it. Flushed Minoxidil down the toilet; it was a back up in case I got sides on finasteride.

Keta is overrated and shouldn't be regarded as an essential part of the big 3. Its too weak in shampoo form to halt or even slow down male pattern baldness. you can use any shampoo you likr it doesn't make a difference, your best bet is to take finasteride for a year and then add minoxidil of your hair loss stops.

so the conclusion after reading these replies that ketoconazole alone is not gonna help you if you're suffering from male pattern baldness.

right

it is good for treating Androgenetic Alopecia but alone it is not enough to halt your hair loss or stimulate any significant amount of regrowth. that's what finasteride and minoxidil are for, keto is just additional firepower.

Gives the scalp a clean environment for medication to work on. Prevents scalp inflammation, sebum build up, and break outs.

Finasteride blocks DHT conversion systemically within the blood.

Minioxidil is a vasodilator promotes blood circulation, nutrient shuttling, and transportation to hair follicle.

In a nut shell, all 3 work synergistically, and that is why it's called the big 3.

Keto shampoo does close to nothing as a treatment for Androgenetic Alopecia. Keto in cream form might do slightly more, but it still very weak. The truth is that unless you use finasteride or dutasteride, you are going to go bald. Nothing else that's currently available is anything like as effective.

Keto is the easiest addition. You shampoo anyway, might as well shampoo with something that helps. There are small scale studies showing its effectiveness. Bodybuilders and juicers swear by the stuff.

Id stick with the original or prescription stuff, not all the new Keto shampoos that have come out recently with all the bs additions that they claim help

it cant ever help in stopping small amount of hair fall ? not like shedding or something.
It won't stop your shedding, but perhaps it might be able to reduce your shedding a little. Keto shampoo is extremely weak as an Androgenetic Alopecia treatment. I personally am not convinced it does anything at all to be honest. I used Nizoral alongside dutasteride for a long time, but I've now quit using Nizoral and I now just use dutasteride. My hair has not suffered in the least bit as a result.

It's impossible everyhuman lose 10-20 hairs while washing, the difference is miniaturization of new hairs and excessive shedding like 100 or more every time you wash

I don't get why so many people think that healthy scalp lose zero hairs

I started Nizoral 2% 5 weeks ago (x3 a week) after having a bit of a post-6 years finasteride hair loss crash (check out my posts) and can confirm it has definetly reduced the excess shine/oils on my scalp and also helped calm a rather sensitive scalp (to touch).

I however concur with the others that Keto alone will do very little - but does have potential value alongside finasteride and/or Regaine (the 'big three'). It's very concentrated and lathers well, so a little goes a long way. I tend to find however that my hair looks great on days of use (volumised) but rather flat and lifeless the next day, so I have to top up on the conditioner.

I think the strength and results of nizoral are definitely the most suspect out of the big 3. A shampoo will never have the power of the others it on your scalp for like 10 minutes if that. It might help a little with some of the things people mentioned but its not very strong and its certainly not going to alter the course of your male pattern baldness long term

if i am losing 10-20 hairs or even 30 while washing hair , should i be worried or is it normal? like completely normal just like people with head of full of hair.

To many variables behind simple sheddings of 10-20 hairs.

Get a tricho test done, that's the only efficient way to get to the root cause.

As I stated earlier, Nizoral merely provides a healthier foundation for medication to work on. It will not inhibit DHT.
