Does increasing your muscle mass and testosterone actually lead to increased hair loss? I've went to the gym for around 1 year and I've generally done the same workouts and maintained a similar weight. Recently I've wanted to workout harder and focus more on muscle gain than cardio the issue is I think I have early male pattern baldness it isn't aggressive and no one in my family has receded beyond a nw2 so I don't plan on starting a treatment yet. Do you think working out more could cause increased hair loss or if it's all myths

Nothing?
You are going to increase your testosterone, that means more dht converted from testosterone.
If this quantity is relevant to hairloss is another question

Thats nonsense.Increase in T is very minimum from working out, taking steroids is another story it may worsen your hair slightly, but then i know some people that taking it,and they are just fine.

Conclusions
A yearlong, moderate-intensity aerobic exercise program increased DHT and SHBG, but it had no effect on other androgens in middle-aged to older men.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25509972

... after 12 weeks of exercise, a statistically significant increase (6.41±2.28 P<0.05) was noticed between the pre-and post-exercise serum total testosterone levels.

Reportedly, certain ingredients in protein shakes increase testosterone and a chemical called DHT, which has been linked to hair loss.

Dr Kouremada-Zioga said: “Protein shakes will very often contain growth hormones such as Creatine and DHEA, which not only increase muscle mass, but also increase testosterone levels in the bloodstream.

Btw i can't find a study regarding anaerobic exercise and dht

i couldn't find any studies regarding ejaculation and dht

However there are sites like this: https://stophairloss.io (He's not selling anything so he's not one of these scammers)
The author point this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16436468

At ejaculation, a burst of OT is released from the neurohypophysis into the systemic circulation

OT has also been shown to modulate androgen levels in these tissues via stimulation of the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestostone (DHT) by 5alpha-reductase.

That's interesting, ejaculation = more dht
lol

My take is:
Unless you are ejaculating a lot of times a day, i think it's fine
5 alpha reductase is present in many tissues so dht is produced anyway.

Someone may try to abstain from ejaculation for some days and see if his scalp still itch
