So I have been losing hair since about 21 or 22. I used to have nice thick hair. My dad has hairloss but he didnt visibly look like he was losing hair until about 40. Now my mom's dad had a full head of hair but I know now that I didnt inheret that gene. My hair has been thinning fast recently. My crown has been thinning and my temples have been receding fast. The thing is no man in my family ever lost hair as quick as mine. Even my brother who while we were growing up always had thin hair and i had the thick hair which is why i thought i would take from my moms side as I look like here the most.
I dont get why im losing hair so fast. I took accutane when I was 16, i dont know if thats the cause and it sped my hairloss up. My dad is 55 and still has a good bit of hair left. He still has a good hairline despite going bald in the back. Mine is receding at the temples which makes him have a better hairline than me. Im 24 by the way. I dont get it either because my dad is a hairy beast and while i have body hair too it is nowhere near as thick as my dads. I mean I wonder I got this from so early in life. I have recently started lifting weights this past year but losing hair makes me think whats the use anyway. I did suffer from a big bout of depression a few years ago and got really sick.
My question is why am I losing hair faster than the other men in my family? I have one bald uncle on my dads side and thats it the rest are thinning normally.
Does anyone think accutane is the culprit? I have been told from people and doctors that its not the case. Thank you to anybody who reads this and I appreciate your responses.
