Does Finastride cause shedding before regorwth?

I ve been on finastride for 8-9 months.
The first 6 months I was disappointed because I didn't see any change
the next two months I got worried because I noticed more shedding and my hair felt less dense.
Then all of a sudden in the last 2-3 weeks I noticed uniform growth in my temples. and this isn't only thin baby hairs growing, some of them are legit strands that are thick and actually grow longer than an inch.

I m still skeptically about this turning into cosmetically significant improvement.
But my question is, does Finastride usually cause shedding before inducing regrowth? is this a known trend?

Great to hear that you actually see some results! Unfortunately, you had to wait for this for 9 months but I hope that the waiting was worth these results.

Shedding is something very common with many but it is not something everyone experiences. Shedding is a sign that finasteride works in some way and has some effect (even tough it is a side effect). That means that it is more likely that finasteride will actually have some effect for you.
