Does Finasteride Maintain Your Hair For Life?

My uncles and father went bald like nw5 at 23
So I have aggressive male pattern baldness
Right now I still have my hair I'm nw2 on finasteride for 2 monthes
So is it gonna maintain the hair that I have but meanwhile my male pattern baldness is aggressive?
Or should I just switch to Dutasteride?
And what should I do If dutasteride didn't work as well?

As a dermatologist, I will suggest you don't just take any medications with any dermatologist consultations only. Minoxidil is a US FDA approved medication and should be taken for a longer duration like for many years.
Finasteride works well when taken with minoxidil and both are very effective medications.
In case you are not comfortable with minoxidil medication then you can switch to dutasteride.
You are facing genetic baldness and in such case, this medication will help in postponing your baldness.
