Does Finasteride Increase Total Testosterone Or Free Testosterone?

I'm trying to google this but people do not specify if it's total or free testosterone.

does it lower free testosterone?

I don't think finasteride affects SHBG. In most cases, it increases total testosterone levels (and free).
But from my research it does not increase testosterone in all cases. In the research papers I have read, testosterone increases were bigger in males with lower testosterone levels to start with. But it probably increases testosterone by 0-15% in most cases.

Thank you. I would like for my free t to increase and not total, it's good it doesn't affect shbg bc mine is actually a bit high (I'm assuming this based on the discrepancy on my labs between total and free t...total is much higher)
