Does DHEA affect Hairloss?

I had a blood test done and my DHEA level came back quite high. It was 13.8 umol/L.

Normal is considered to be between 4.3 and 12.2

Could this be contributing to my hairloss?
If so, is there anything I can do to lower it?

dude, you don't want to mess with you body's natural chemicals. DHEA is a precursor of testosterone. DHEA is also believed to maintain muscle mass, which catobolizes fat. If you lower this you are taking away what makes you a man, literally!

It's normal to be above the charts when you're in your twenties, on testosterone related tests. I always am

You can lower test levels by using oral spironolactone. Before you go out and order a years supply, do some research and know what you're getting yourself into.

If it worries you, go talk to an endocrinologist. Increased DHEA by itself will not cause hairloss unless you are susceptible to the androgens that are later produced by the metabolism of DHEA.

High levels could increase your hairloss, but completely removing it from your system would be a very, very, very bad idea.
