Does Derma Roller Prevent Good Transplant Results With The Scar Tissue It Creates?

I cannot recall where i read this but a patient claims that his doctor told him using dermaroller on the bald area can create scar tissues and it can affect the result of a potential hair transplant. Is it true? Is dermarolling before a transplant operation a bad idea?
