I am loosing hair I know this also all my eyebrows its been horrible to say the least. I have my hair fairly short, number 3 clipper on crown. I went to a hair Doctor and he took some pics of my crown of head from the front with my head tilted down and I was shocked to say the least, it looked bad. Now if i take the same pic from behind or from the side my hair looks fine. Do they use this method to try to talk u into a transplant? It seems like that were this guy is going. I know with a short haircut different angles might make it seem worse. Even from strait down my hair looks ok. I do have a big cowlick and whorl.

All your eyebrows?

That doesn't sound like male pattern baldness to me.

I'd see a normal Doctor first.

In answer to your question, yes they'll try to give you the worst possible view of your hair, it's in their interest to.

Yeah I have been losing my eyebrows and hair since taking accutane 1.5 years ago. I loose them in a diffuse pattern the same as my head. I do however have a extremly oily forehead and nose and eyebrow area. Some derms say dermatits some say its normal blah blah. I have flakey eyebrows. Thing is is that the hair that grows back is so small and weak it falls right out again. Same thing with my head hair. It is so miniturized its amazing. All this in one year? I am on thyroid meds and my tsh has been stabilized. Funny thing is it was always the same before I lost hair. Now Im on synthroid 75mcg and I dont even know if I need it. My tsh btw was 4.12 not extremly high but high. All my hair that falls out is different lengths and thickness. My eyebrows turn almost clear at the base and then fall out. I have an itchy scalp but I use so much nizoral, head and shoulders, ect. I might be drying it out to much causing it to be oily. This is a vicous cycle I tell you.

Wow i feel your pain.

To me it doesn't sound like male pattern baldness , I don't know what others think, i'd be staying away from a hair transplant surgeon for a while until your body settles down more.

I know that after a few months of Nizoral i had to stop using it as it made my head feel like it was burning, but that's the 2% stuff, I've recently bought some Nizorelle, hoping to add it back in soon.

The medication Synthroid is known to cause hairloss

Look into medication called Armour.

I think i suffer from thyroid problems too but the blood tests i had done came back fine. Although they only tested my T3 and T4 ranges i think.

I bought a book regarding thyroid problems and the problems the medication the doctors prescribe cause. It also gives lots of information on alternative treatments (Armour). It's worth a read. Contact me via PM if you're interested.

I'm not in any way selling or affiliated with this book. I just don't know whether I am permitted to post any information on it here. I've been on this site for years but just signed up just now to reply to this post and I'm planning on starting the Big 3 next week, so I will have a thread on that soon.
