Does Buzzing Your Hair Reveal The Truth?

In my earlier posts, I was always worried about thinning as my scalp would be very visible along my parting and my crown area. Turns out my hair was just really, really long (maybe around 5-6 inches). My dad comes from a line of male pattern baldness genes but he has really only started thinning now, at 54 years old — mom's side consists of heads full of thick hair.

buzzed my head myself recently and the worry has been alleviated

if you're paranoid, just shave your head to see what's actually happening, length is deceptive

This. I was 100% sure I was thinning 2 years ago until I got a buzzcut. Also, what length is that?

Not too sure, but I set the clipper to 3 millimeters I believe, wayyy too short. This is after 5 days of growth.
The shortest I've done is 3 but next time I shave my head I might just do it with a razor just for fun. The reason I always buzz it is because whenever you cut it very short on the top and sides, balding people usually show a small norwood pattern or thinner patches of hair.
