Its better to use it every two or three days than every day. It is a harsh shampoo that can dry out your scalp and hair and cause irritation if used too frequently.

I'm doing great with the dutasteride thanks. it has worked very well for me over the four years I've used it so far. It has completely stopped my hair loss and has given me good regrowth, especially in my crown area.

Five months in, had some regrowth 2 months ago but that could have been a few other things, kinda think. I got a shed going on now, when did you see the results and did you have any sheds and when?

I had noticeable results after about three months. I think I did have some more shedding than usual at the beginning. Are you using other treatments in addition to dutasteride? I'm using minoxidil once a day on my hairline and temples.
Still using finasteride and a minoxidil compound, along with a few vitamins

If you're using dutasteride at 0.5mg a day, there's nothing extra to gain by also using finasteride. Dutasteride already does everything finasteride does and more.
You could probably use it everyday and nothing bad would happen. It being too harsh and stuff are just theories. The best rule to live by is that medicine hardly knows anything about most things male pattern baldness included. Just experiment and see what works for you.

I took it very briefly before I discovered that dutasteride was more effective. I've been on dutasteride for over four years and still going strong.

Hey Mic,
I'm on Finastride for 1 year now, I don't know really what it has done. Personally I feel it's made my hair worse my effecting the hairline which was only to start with the problem was my temples.
The Dr I see, he says it has helped by stabilizing my hair, improving thickness and he see's miniturization of hair follicles.
I'm not happy as when I look back 6-7 months ago I think my hair was in better condition and my temples were effected less.
Do you think I should go on Dutastride? Are their side effects to it?
