I don't think colouring your hair is a bad thing. One problem is if you have really thin hair and you dye it a lot darker than your usual colour, the patches where your hair loss are will be more prominent in contrast to the colour of your scalp. (that's not a good thing!)

Having said that, I reckon dyeing your hair darker wouldn't affect or accelerate hair loss or hair condition too much if at all.

Of course, that's only my opinion... can anyone with any real knowledge comment on this?

What about bleaching it?

What is the best hair colouring for grey hairs? I have a few coming through on the sides too, a friend tried some cheap stuff and his hair went purple!

Gray hair doesn't bother me. I have a few sprouting now and I kinda like it.

I don't want to be one of those weird looking guys in their 40's with hair color like a 8 year old.

How about 60s! I work in a surgeon's office which consists mainly of over 60 year olds. I've seen dark brown hair with no whites on a 70 y/o before. I had to force myself not to laugh and stare!
