Does anyone have any good feedback on Propecia???

It seems like the majority of folks are experiencing a lot of loss w/propecia and the like. It was my sincere hope that an hair transplant and Propecia combo would restore and maintain my hair to a point where I wouldn't have to check the mirror near as much or compare myself to everyone else around my age and wonder what I did wrong in a past life. But with all the negative feedback on Propecia I'm beginning to wonder if it's actually going to help.

As it stands I still intend on an hair transplant for the recession and Propecia to maintain the rest. Please let me know what you folks think as far as Propecia and the other drugs containing the same ingredients.

Thanks.
I really appreciate any helpful feedback, and not that you tried Propecia for two months and couldn't stand the shedding so you stopped and feel worse than ever.

So I'm gonna guess this is a no? Either that or people are thinking why don't I just read the other topics and decide for myself.

yup. There's tons of good feedback. Look at the success stories forum.

The people WITHOUT good feedback speak the loudest. Happens in any statistical study.

1 year and 2 months into propeica and no new growth anywhere. I only had mild loss in the right temple and middle of head. I'm most likely going to get a hair transplant in the future, its just so damm expensive :sobbing: .

oh yeah, just maintaining what I have.

it's been a roller coaster ride for me

i've lost some, and regrown some and it has been a year.

overall though, the net effect is that i've had success because i grew MORE than i loss, and my hair looks better than it did 1 year ago.

just ordered foam :)

I had great results

Here are pics before-&-after generic propecia 10 months...even better now :)
The pics are with an intense flash, but under normal lights it now looks like my hair has completely grown back.

The amount of rants about Finasteride is easy to explain: It does help, but most people aren´t satisfied nevertheless!

Propecia completely saved my hair. I love it, and it has also reduced my body hair, another plus. I am very, very happy with the results. Take it for what it's worth.

By the way, I have been on it for almost a year now. My hair feels stronger, there is more of it, and I only had one shed. I've been on generic and brand name w/o any noticeable difference. It would be nice if the temples grew in a little more which is why I started Minoxidil about three months ago, but no complaints here.

honestly thanks guys I really appreciate the feedback and the pics, they look awesome. I'm in the process of making appointments to get Propecia. After a while of that I may switch to a generic brand but I'm a pussy and don't want to chance getting the wrong stuff from a bad online source. I'm really not afraid of the sides at all, plus if three months into the treatment I can't get it up with a girl she will just think I'm playing hard to get.

I've been on the foam for a little under two weeks now, but it's way too early to tell anything at all of course and I just dropped the Revita b/c I'd read some ungood things about it in this forum. Now I use T-Gel and I'm going to alternate that with nizoral.

Again thanks for all the help. People outside of this don't realize the effect it can have on a person, but in order to fully recover from male pattern baldness it's not just about products and drugs. All the while you really have to make a promise to yourself that when someone asks you to go on a social outing you go anyway in spite of your hairloss. If you let it control you even during the recovery process then you're still losing one of the most important battles of hairloss.
Bottom line. Go out. Do stuff! Be a person.

yeah dude, definitely, definitely get on propecia if you want to start a regimen. It is the crux of 99% of peoples regimens here, pretty much anyone who doesn't experience sides on it takes it, it certainly helps maintain the hair you have, slow down loss and in some cases regrow. even if it doesnt regrow it will most likely make your hair thicker and healthier down the line.

it's called the "Success Stories" section, i don't think there is anyone who has had success (with picture) who was not on finasteride (or dutasteride)

ive been on proscar/fincar since october 2005 so just over 2 years,it has definitely maintained what i had then and my hair looks healthier too.

as for regrowth ,well i have been using minoxidil for the same period too so i dont know whether i can attribute any regrowth to finasteride or min

:)

Propecia makes my hair darker, healthier and appear thicker.

I am aware of the sides and its a risk I am willing to take.

GL to everyone!
