Does anyone experience hairline/temple thickening from finasteride?

I just started finasteride because I've got a receding hairline, which I've had for over 4 years. Probably a NW2.5 right now. Anyway it seems as soon as I started taking it I've noticed all these posts by people saying they didn't regrow/thicken the hairline at all with finasteride. Is it really that worthless on the hairline? Should I even bother? I don't have any loss in the back (yet). I'm also using Zix, and 2% Nizoral shampoo twice a week.

I've never seen anyone reporting much thickening at the hairline from finasteride alone.

How has your hair been with your current regimen? How old are you now?

I'm 28. My hair Seems decently thick up to the front 1/3 inch of the hairline. The temples have gotten noticeably bigger in the past two years, particularly the right one. I have no idea how much my regimen has been helping.....obviously. Wouldn't really know without going back in time and not using it. (although thinking about it, I think my regimen may have thickened up my hair behind the hairline a bit)

I don't really wanna bother with minoxidil. It's another topical I'd have to deal with, and the stories of increased body hair scare me as I've already got too much that's actually one of the reasons I decided on finasteride (some people say it's reduced theirs), and other sides like a puffy face and weird periods of shedding I can do without.

I'm pretty sure most people report maitnenance and thickening of their current state (everywhere, even the hairline, with more density coming in behind the hairline) from the big three... am i wrong here?

No offense but I always find these kinds of experiences to be useless to people in my situation. Saying you thickened or maintained with the "big 3" means you used minoxidil, which is obviously a huge factor. I am not using minoxidil. I'm looking for people's experiences with finasteride or finasteride + nizoral for the hairline.
