I don’t care what anyone says at all. It 100% does. Like 100%.

Like one of my childhood friends his dad is older and has always had the thickest full head of dark hair with 0 loss. I see my friend now like 25 nothing but a solid thick af head of hair. I think maybe I saw some slight thinning around the crown but not sure.

my other friend has a Native American dad who always wears a really long pony tail style and looks like a full head of hair at 50 (despite smoking cigarettes health problems and drinking daily). He’s around 25 perfectly full head of hair.

my other friend I always noticed his dad was like 45-50 with a full head of hair that’s slightly graying. My friend was around 25 and he passed away recently but he’s always had a perfectly full head of hair. Like actual hairline complete nw0.

i know this one guy from high school and he was 25 last time i saw him and his entire hair was like gone. His brother was bald too. Always wearing hats in high school and years ago someone told me he was basically full bald and they have a bald dad.

my dad has really bad hair was complete bald at 40 and ever since 20 I’ve had minor hair loss getting worse and I think I even had minor loss in high school.

my other friend his dad is part native has a full head of hair despite smoking and massive alcoholism and non stop working and stress and my friend has a full head of hair like really really long and thick. I think he might have a slightly receding hairline but I don’t think so.

my other friend is asian and his dad is asian with a full head of hair and he’s 25 and his hairline always looks totally full. Sometimes with greasy hair his hair looks a little weird with some loss but I’m not sure.

One of my other friends had zero hair loss and I haven’t seen his dad in 15 years but he was 35 and has good hair. Two of my friends have a bald dad and they had no hair loss to be fair and they were both chads.

my friend has a black dad and he’s got like a perfectly full head of hair at 45 and my friend was 25 last time I saw him and he was always rocking braids and dreads maybe with minor hair loss like a Chris brown type of hairline not really balding.

even look at celebrities with their parents and almost all of them with minimal hair loss either have dads with good hair or like half way balding and being old. Only exception I can think of is drake but his mom could of cheated and just Bieber but he might be on meds and everyone says he has hair loss.

Also my grandfather on my moms side had a decent head of hair. He passed around 60 and had a full head of hair almost. He was like nw2 with really thick hair

look at this list: 95% of them have hair and their dad has hair. Look at Will Smith and his son. Ashton Kutchers dad has a full head of hair

You are more likely to inherit your hair loss from your father or mother if she carries the gene. To get it from your maternal grandfather from example he has to give his gene to your mother and then she give it to you.

1. Those are just observation that cant really prove anything.
2. Genes and inheritance is very complex thing. Im sure you cant really define the source to your hairloss genes
3. There many cases of brothers with completely different hairloss situation. This contradicts all of your statements

Yes. No hairloss on mother's side that I know of. Father began balding at 25, same age as me, though mine is more aggressive.

it 100% comes from literally everywhere, if it was from the dad side I wouldn't have been fcked by hair loss like I am now.

my dad honestly started to go bald in his 40's, and his dad had pretty good hair even in his 70, my uncle (from dad's side) is almost 50 and only now he's reaching norwood 3.

meanwhile my mother has thin and kind of diffuse hair, her mother has the same hair too, and tons of men from my mother's side are bald.

I started balding at about 20, and I'm diffused af, my brother is even worse than me and he's younger, also diffused.
so it 100% came from my mother's side or a mixture of both.

end of day if you have any balding people in your family on either side- you're not safe.

Not for me. My dad has zero male pattern baldness and neither does his brother. I'm NW3 with crown thinning. I can see that my balding pattern is identical to my maternal uncles.

In the end it comes from both sides, can skip generations etc. That said I do often observe that men with nw6-7 bald father's tend to bald more aggressively.

My dad is NW1 at worst and all of his brothers (except for one) are also NW1. Most people around their age have severe hair loss. My dad gets compliments all the time that he looks young and I always tell him, it is your f*****g hair. I rarely ever see a 60 year old NW1 dude.
I am 18 and already diffuse thinning. It can come from both sides. (My maternal uncles all had diffuse thinning, albeit in their late 30s not f*****g 18)

1) It can come from
both sides
2) Ashton Kutcher is balding and has used dutasteride for years
3) You attitide is obnoxious
Ashton has been off all meds for over 2 years and 40 years old and his hairline looks the exact same at 25.

he just took the meds at first sign of hairloss and ever since quitting nothing happened

Yeah so there’s no way it’s not like 75% from your dad

When I quit anti-adrogens at 26 my hair loss also stayed the same for almost a year after that. Kutcher also mentioned in the interview where you got the screenshot from that his androgen levels were very low for a while after he quit dutasteride.

My dads brother is nw7. He has 2 sons one near 50 other about 45. My oldest cousin is a solid nw3 and no thinning. The youngest is nw1, ZERO hairloss of any kind. Their matternal grandfather looks diffused in the entire front of his hair in the photos i have.

my own father was bald by 36, diffusing in his early 30s.

I am nw2.5 by my own judgement minor thinning in left temple. I am 34

My dads dad, and his dad were very very bald.

Severe hair loss seemed to stop after my father and uncle for some reason. Most likely coincidence

Baldness happens because of the genes people inherit from both their mom and dad. Some studies show that 80% of balding is genetic. A key gene can come from a maternal grandpa. But this gene doesn't explain all baldness. People are just as likely to be bald if their dad or their maternal grandfather is bald. I've recently been writing an essay on this topic "The Genetics of Balding" using some help of https://www.topwritersreview.com/reviews/essaysupply/ . Two new studies have showed a small region on chromosome 20 called 20p11 as being associated with balding. This sort of thing could explain people who are bald even though their mom's dad still has a full head of hair.

Then go ahead and expain to me why my dads best friend (age 55+) has very thick hair, probably norwood 1-3 MAX, and two of his 3 sons (age 28 and 25) are 100% bald, the other one diffusing severly.

It may have to do with their maternal grandfather?
