Does all hair start off as coarse as the back of the head?

For example, a 15 year old, would his hair be uniformly coarse all over his head and tyen miniturize in susceptible places over time? Or is hair on top of the head naturally less coarse than on the back of the head?

If my hair on top is supposed to be the same texture as in the back, I've got a serious problem on my hands.

In other words, because the hair strands on the top of my scalp have a smaller diameter than the strands in the "donor area", does it definitely mean that miniaturization has occured? Or do the hair strands in the "donor area" start off with larger diameter?

My guess would be no, perhaps has something to do with why that hair isn't affected by dht. Also just by touching someone's hair, it doesn't feel as rough. I'm not sure how you'd find all this stuff out, though.

I'm still wondering about this. Anyone know?

By "start off" I mean prior to DHT attack.

See a dermatologist who knows what they're talking about and get an assessment - no point obsessing over if the top feels different to the sides.
