Do You Wash Your New Pieces Before Wearing?

I washed the last one before first attachment as I was going to color it.

Is there any point to washing a brand new, pre-cut piece before attaching otherwise?

Can't answer your question as I've only had one piece so far and I'm not sure if the tech washed it before attaching it, but do you order your pieces pre-cut from lordhair? If so, are you satisfied with the quality of the haircut and how natural the ends look?

I'm asking because my tech used a barber's razor instead of scissors to cut most of the system hair and I doubt that LH does the same.

the first thing I do is use nearly natural to deposit color. I don't do dyes anymore.

LH product manual recommends wash brand new the system.

Does it? I looked over my last unit's manual this morning to see, anticipating the new unit to arrive today (it didn't), but I don't recall seeing mention of that.

The only time I've heard of washing before use has been here, in the context of coloring a new unit.

Yes. But once tried without and didn't have a problem. I guess there is just a risk that the base may be covered with something accidentally, but it must not happen every time. To be sure it sticks, you should clean the base.

I was told by LH sale representatives to wash it, therefore, I always water rinse thoroughly with cold water for the brand new system.
