After watching many shows from the 80s-90s with actors who started out NW2-3 and thinning in season 1 it seems very few of them end up full bald or even significantly more progressed by the later seasons, in some cases 5-10 years later.
Johnathan Frakes on Star Trek: The Next Generation is an example of this. He was a NW2.5 with obvious thinning in season 1 and maintained thereabouts until season 7 which was 7 years later, and even in the subsequent movies which were 10+ years later.
Do you think anti-androgens like dutasteride or finasteride were available for offlabel hair loss treatment then, considering the positive effects for hair loss were well known by doctors prior to being marketed for that? It seems even in the 70s and 80s very few actors started their career with a full head of hair and ended up NW5+
