Do you SEE your hair thin?

I've been on propecia for 8+ months and have on and off sheds ever since month 3. No worries, I have faith in people saying that this is a good sign. But why when I check my shedded hair I can see a progressive thinning from tip to root?

Do any of you with longer hair see this tapering with your shedded hairs?

Yep!! Every day! Although lately I haven't seen as many. Maybe they've all fallen out! :lol: Lately I've been shedding thick hairs and thin ones that are thin all the way down. I just started minoxidil about a week ago though, so I don't know what's going on.

yup see that all the time when i was on propecia..
thats one of the reason i stop taking that stuff...

to my knowledge, this is just normal. the hair that are shedding are kind of disconnected from the scalp. They are getting less and less nutriment until it dies and fall out. During that process, the hair will get thinner and thinner and less coloured also. I is a normal shedding process.

IMO where you should be concerned is if you are loosing hair that are bigger at the root.

Have you seen any hair that has been shed from women scalp.. They show no such thing like thinning towards the root..

yes i do, most of them if not all are thinner and colourless at the root.. Will take a look on my wife's hair brush.
